Went to a funeral viewing this morning for Joan Burnside, very dear woman who always called in the Moose radios birthday club to announce peoples birthdays that she knew and if there weren't any she'd still call on behalf of seniors and shut ins, people with restricted mobility, to let them know the world hasn't forgotten them. Joan stopped calling the station a while ago and since then I have personally have fielded numerous calls from concerned people wondering about her. Recently came several calls telling us of her passing and also those asking to confirm the same because they heard. I didn't directly know anyone at the funeral viewing but there were many familiar town faces but few of them were without tears myself included. Joan wherever you are thank you. You had far more of a positive effect on far more people than I could have ever convinced you of in life.
